Workplace
New ways of working
New ways of working mean that we have no fixed workplaces in our office. Employees also have the option to choose when and where they work. This requires the use of ICT solutions for mutual communication and collaboration.
Office zones
The office can be arranged in such a way that, if it is not being fully utilised by staff, certain office zones are automatically shut down. This applies to both indoor climate and lighting. The zoning means that energy consumption for heating, cooling or lighting is efficiently tailored to actual energy requirements.
Paper use
The introduction of new ways of working, which involves working with paper as little as possible, has resulted in a significant drop in paper use; this trend will undoubtedly continue.
Photocopying machines
Toner cartridges from the copiers are collected and taken away after which they are recycled.
Lighting
We have paid careful attention to the lighting in the office. For example, we use pendant luminaires which ensure that around 75% of the light is directed downwards to the workplaces and 25% towards the ceiling, making the office feel very bright and spacious. Highly reflective ceiling materials have been used. If employees want even more light while they are working, they can also switch on an individual, two-step adjustable LED office lamp. This lamp is automatically switched off at the end of the working day.
