Gas as transition fuel
Due to several reactions of the audience we can conclude that we learned and discussed various elements of the theme “Let’s shape the future together”. The Netherlands and Russia have a longstanding strategic cooperation; natural gas is a very important element in this. Also, natural gas will become an increasingly important transport fuel both in the form of CNG and LNG which will result in considerable extra natural gas demand. Furthermore, there seemed to be consensus among the more senior energy professionals that the new generation will have to solve the challenge to provide clean, reliable and affordable energy.
