GasTerra is the new sponsor of the Haydn Youth String Orchestra which is based in the north of the Netherlands. The two parties signed a contract on Saturday 1 June before the orchestra's Russian summer concert in the New Church. The youth orchestra can count on GasTerra for support for the next three years. The management, staff and members of the orchestra are delighted to have this support from GasTerra, which will enable the orchestra to celebrate its 25th anniversary in style in the summer of 2014.
The Haydn Youth String Orchestra is made up of young talented musicians between the ages of 9 and 19. It plays music to a very high standard. The orchestra comprises violins, violas, cellos and double basses and has been conducted by Jan-Ype Nota since 2005. Young musicians can join after a successful audition. The Haydn Youth String Orchestra offers young talented players training in ensemble playing and, where possible, coaches them to the level where they can enter a conservatory.
