From Wednesday 9 January during Eurosonic Noorderslag, the most promising music acts in Europe will show what they can do. Many of these artists are known within the borders of their home countries but have not yet made a breakthrough in the rest of Europe.Eurosonic Noorderslag operates as a springboard, with Eurosonic offering a platform for European talent from Wednesday 9 to Friday 11 January and Noorderslag closing the festival on 12 January with Dutch pop artists.
Energizing local talent
The organisation will also introduce the GasTerra Energy Stage: a free part of Eurosonic at the festival centre in the Ebbinge district. GasTerra has sponsored this stage thereby supporting talented local acts. The GasTerra Energy Stage programme starts on Wednesday 9 January and runs through to Friday 11 January from 15.00 to 23.00.
The various bands that have made their breakthrough in recent years prove that there is also plenty of talent in Groningen. This festival will allow talents that are on the point of making it, including Traumahelikopter and Town of Saints, to show what they can do during Grunneger Sonic.
